Covid-19 Contact Tracing. The whole world is attempting to shake the Covid funk out of their system. Everyone is picking up the pieces and trying rebuild. Contact tracing is part of the responsibility of the new normal.
Public health workers use contact tracing to identify those which may have come into proximity with those infected with Covid-19. They are then advised to undergo home quarantine or get tested.
When applied systematically, it is an important tool in the attempt to break the chain of infection. However, it relies on the public to utilise the systems in place and to provide accurate information.
Tycoma Arms have already put in place a number of SOPs that help to lower the risk of infection amongst our customers and staff.
Previously, we have recorded our customers name, telephone contact number and temperate reading in a book but now, we are emphasising the digital pivot in contact tracing.
Our new preferred method of collecting contact tracing data will be through the use of QR-codes.
We encourage customers to download and install QR-code readers onto their phones, which they will use to scan a QR-code when they enter our shop. They will then enter their names, contact number and temperature into the online form and press the submit button.
The collected data is limited to your name, contact number and temperature reading as taken by our staff. No other personal information is recorded.
This information is then securely stored and will only be released to the authorities if we are requested to do so.
