Safety is our prime concern and in order to be safe, we strongly encourage that our clients seek and attend training from competent instructors.
Firearms area dangerous and here is a great example why we need to be ever vigilant around firearms.
Apparently this happened in India and involves a policeman/security guard armed with a shotgun of some description.
The shotgun was loaded and there was a round in chamber. I’m not sure what happened but either the safety wasn’t engaged or there was some form of mechanical malfunction. At any rate, he was negligent and failed to follow at least two of the cardinal rules of firearms safety; 1) Always treat a gun as if it is loaded and 2)Never point the firearm at anything you are not willing to kill or destroy.
These kind of accidents can be easily avoided with the correct training and mindset as well as regular and detailed inspection of your firearm to make sure that it is in good working order and safe.
